Do I need to be home for your services?

No. The good news is that you do not need to be home to have your bins cleaned.  Just leave your bins curbside after your trash pick up day and we will come by that next day to service and clean your bins.  We will send out an automated text reminder the day of your trash pick up so that you remember to leave your bins out curbside and available for us to service that next day.” Then we will send a second automated text to let you know that your service has been completed.  If your city does not allow you to leave the bins curbside the next day, please leave them in your driveway or outside your home and visible.  Our technician will leave them curbside or in your desired location once cleaned.

Why should I have my bins cleaned by Binman Trash Bin Sanitation?

The simple use of soap and warm water to clean your bins does not adequately eliminate the harmful bacteria, germs and viruses that live in and breed in there. We not only clean your bins, but we disinfect, sanitize and deodorize them as well. We use water temps of approximately 200 degrees Fahrenheit which rids them 99.9% of bacteria, germs, and viruses. Additionally, we spray down the outside of the can including the parts most often touched such as the lid and handle. Our state-of-the-art system effectively reduces health hazards such as Tuberculosis, Strep, staph, E-Coli, Salmonella & Listeria.

What areas do you service?

Our business is currently servicing neighborhoods in Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego Counties. If your neighborhood is not listed, please contact us for further information as we will be adding more areas soon.

After I sign up, when will my trash bins be cleaned?

You will receive a welcome email within 24-48 hours from signing up notifying you of the date your service will begin and additional details. We will do our best to get you on our schedule that next week, but it may be the next depending on availability. Our trash bin cleaning service comes to your home the day after your trash collection day. We will service your bins on site either once a month, quarterly or one time depending on the frequency you sign up for. For your convenience, we do provide a courtesy text reminder the day of your trash pick up so that you remember to leave your bins out curbside and available for us to service that next day.

How often do you recommend that my trash bins be cleaned?

We highly recommend the monthly service as after 30 days the bacteria and germs start to grow and smell again.  The monthly service is also the most cost efficient choice. One time and first time cleanings take considerably longer than subsequent “maintenance” cleanings, so we price these services accordingly.

How long will I need to leave my bins out curbside after trash pick up?

You will need to leave your empty bins curbside until we clean them the day after trash pick up. We will clean them between 7am – 5pm.  Please make sure that there is no un-bagged animal or human waste in the bins.  Once the bins are cleaned, we will either leave them curbside or we will leave them in your driveway or in your specified area.

What condition should the bins be in when leaving them curbside?

Bins are to be left curbside completely empty (exception: small pieces of scraps of trash stuck to the bottom of the bin). Bins must be free of un-bagged human and animal waste or they will not be cleaned due to contamination of the equipment and health hazard to our employees. Bins must be free of cooking and motor oils. Bins must be free of paint, chemicals, cat litter, or hazardous waste.

How much water is used to clean each bin?

One bin takes between three and five gallons of water depending on the condition of the bin. Cleaning your bin yourself, you could easily use fifteen gallons or more.

Where does the dirty water go after you clean my bins?

The dirty waste water from cleaning the inside of your bins is collected in the truck’s holding tank and it’s properly disposed of in designated sewage systems outlined by Local Government ordinances and Waste treatment facilities. There will be a small amount of water that goes onto the street when we spray down the outside of the bin’s lid and handle, but this will dry quickly.

How will I know if my bins were cleaned?

Once we have cleaned, disinfected and deodorized your bins, we will apply a strip of tape on the lid of your bin to signal you the bins are now clean.  Also, your bins will smell clean and fresh.

Is this service environmentally safe?

Yes.

What should I expect from the bin cleaning?

Your bins will be cleaned, sanitized and disinfected to the best of our ability. If your bins have not been cleaned in years and have built up dirt and grime,  it can take a few cleaning cycles to break this up completely and remove it.  Old and worn bins may still look worn, but they will surely be cleaned, disinfected and left smelling fresh. And the germs and bacteria will have been eliminated.
